Felix of Mars

Hi,

My name is Stuart Fraser but everyone else knows me as Felix (which was my long running nickname from college.) Online I am known as Felix of Mars and have created a number of sites, these include an Earthworm Jim Fansite and this Online CV website amongst others. I have also produced an online walkthrough guide for EWJ 3D and have been involve in a number of online projects in my time.

My other interest is in the area of Video Games, this was mainly due to the games Earthworm Jim which was great for its time and made me think that this was what I really wanted to work towards doing. This was my reasons for going to college and then going on to my university course. My college course was about Information Technology in general and this is where I was introduced to the web, and the evil chat rooms (which took up much of our free time.) This is also where I learnt about and started making websites in HTML.

After much searching after the end of university, I got a 3 month contract working for Microsoft Xbox as an Xbox Evangelist, this role was one organised by Microsoft to boost sales of the original Xbox console and demonstrate its potential in store.

Once the contract ended I was on the search again and a month later began a freelance QA role, after 3 month I was asked to come in house to assist with level design and scripting. This was the start of an 8 year career in games design and development. Sadly in 2011 the project I was on ran out of funding and myself and a number of people where let go. I am now on the search for my next role.

I am always keeping my other interests up to date by producing new websites, creating low-polygon models and sketching. I also love to read up on what new games are coming out and research the whole history of video gaming.
